Doctor Who?

If you don't know about the British television series Doctor Who, well, I wouldn't let that go on too much longer! In any case, here is a very enthusiastic orchestral and choral rendition of the Doctor Who theme for your listening pleasure:

Yes, ok, it does sound a bit like Carl Orff, what's your point? Now if you will excuse me, I seem to have misplaced my sonic screwdriver...

Didn't notice the bow ties until one of the commenters pointed 'em out. :-) I came very late to DW-- via Netflix in the last couple of years, and have only seen what must have been the first episode of Peter Capaldi's version. The obvious pceity is rather grating but, eh. What's her name, the 'Missy' actress, is wonderful; Michelle Gomez, I believe.

Yes, I only discovered Doctor Who in recent years, though I think I did see a couple of episodes of the old one a few decades ago on Canadian television. I'm only familiar with the first four or five seasons. When I ordered season three through Amazon, it took months and months for it to get here from the UK.

It's not the PC stuff that I enjoy, needless to say, but the effervescent whimsy of the Doctor and the charm of his assistants. Plus some really original ideas from time to time.
